Our History
Co-Founders
James “Jimmy” Johnson and Dr. Negleatha Johnson
Co-Founded in 1996 by James “Jimmy” Johnson and Dr. Negleatha Jones Johnson, Life Waters Ministries began primarily as a music ministry. At that time, the focus was on the writing, recording and distribution of songs that uplift and inspire. As the years passed, the focus expanded to include conferences, retreats, and inspirational products and messages. As LWMi moved closer to becoming a 501(c)3 non-profit public charity, a significant portion of the music focus was shifted to create Negleatha Johnson LLC. With 25 years of uninterrupted service and a reputation of credibility and integrity, this organization is working even harder as a new 501(c)3 public charity (as of 2020) to leave an indelible footprint of good on the earth through its expanded touch points and target areas.
